Please note that the availability for Plab 2 Examination dates in July and August 2025 (term holidays) are extremely limited. Students and junior doctors who wish to apply are advised to make an application and book their dates.

The PLAB 2 examination represents the concluding phase of the PLAB (Professional and Linguistics Assessment Board) assessment, administered by the General Medical Council (GMC) in the United Kingdom.

To sit for the PLAB 2, candidates must have successfully cleared the PLAB 1. Both these examinations are prerequisites for practicing medicine in the UK.

PLAB 2 is structured as an OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination). It comprises as many as 16 simulated clinical scenarios, mimicking real-life situations, such as those encountered in a hospital ward or during patient consultations.

This examination is typically conducted at the GMC facility located in Manchester and is available at various times throughout the year.
